Acceptance into the Program

    Our program offers the student a chance to deal with her root problems in a loving environment that incorporates Christian education, Christian counseling, worship, support groups and service opportunities in a home setting.

    To be accepted into the program, the student must have a life controlling problem, be willing to change and agree to follow the program as outlined in the Student Program Introduction. She must be willing and able to participate in all activities. Certain learning disabilities, mental or physical disorders would not fit in to the program. We are not a clinical or medical facility and do not offer special academic education or psychiatric care.

    If the student is eligible for the program, a 2-week trial visit is required.  This will help both the Home and the student decide if the program is suitable at this time.  There is a non-refundable, non-receiptable $300.00 fee for this trial period.  If you are coming from out-of-province (Ontario), you may require a 4-week trial period.  In this case, the non-refundable, non-receiptable fee for the trial period is $400.00. Before arriving for the trial visit, the student is required to have transportation home arranged (pick-up, bus-fare etc.).  If she is accepted into the program, an entry date will be agreed upon at the end of her trial visit. This date could be immediate or set for a future date depending on availability.

    Upon acceptance to the program, there is a $500.00 entrance fee & a $300 per month fee (payable in 13 post-dated cheques, all dated the 1^st of each month) for the duration the student is in the program. The student is also required to have return fare or a commitment to get picked up if she decides to leave. Again, the entrance & monthly fees are non-refundable and a receipt for Income Tax purposes cannot be issued.  If family, friends or a church would like to support the ongoing work of the Girls’ Home, all donations above the set fees will be considered gifts and a charitable receipt will be issued. We print receipts every January for gifts received during the previous year.
